Salsa classes in India

KV told us it was gonna be salsa classes in Manipal...we thought that joining these classes with nice music and dancing all together could be amaizing...but the only thing we knew was that was only for couples...so we choosed our dancing partners...we were thinking that only us and maybe some other indians couples will be there...so imaging our surprise when whole Manipal was there!!!There was a big "q" standing outside a huge dancing hall...we had to register and pay (300Rs each couple) - one of the main fields to fill in to get registered wherever in India is...YOUR MOBILE NUMBER!! yeah, TII ;-)

There were so many interested people that they had to split it in 2 turns...The professors were an indian couple...imagine how amaizing was for the latin people to assist to salsa classes with indian professors...and to see so many indians learning to dance salsa...they are really interesting in latin music and dancing...It was ok but they were teaching in a quite artificial way, very structured and mechanical - probably for those who was their first contact with this dancing is the only option -...but...I got bored soon and as usually, did it in my own way...was nice to listen the music, even if sometimes were not salsa at all...so for me was a free dancing sesion...

The first 3 days my partner was Lorenzo from Italy and the last one, Raul from Mexico - wow, he dances really good!

Afonso, Sebastian, Magui, Inés, Fabrizo, Nick, Francisca, Joana, Lorenzo, Raul, Chris, Yajur, Amishi...

Was the first and only time that I have suffered the monzoon's effects...we arrived completily wet!!
